True Crime Walking Tour: Downtown Tucson •

This 2-hour, 2-mile tour takes us through Tucson’s Historic Presidio neighborhood and through the downtown restaurant and shopping district.

Our tour will cover six and a half true-crime stories, from Tucson’s early days as a railroad town all the way up to the 21st century.

  1. A kidnapping case so baffling that it stumped J. Edgar Hoover’s FBI

  2. A psychotic mass murderer, and the heroes who brought him down

  3. Hoover’s “Public Enemy #1” and his gang were captured right here in Tucson without a shot being fired.

  4. A teaser story about Tucson’s serial killer (more details in the Blenman-Elm Tour)

  5. A Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday murder at the Tucson train depot.

  6. Detailed look at the arson trial after the Hotel Pioneer in 1970.

  7. An execution so shocking that it changed Arizona’s death penalty laws forever.

Time & Distance

This is a 2-hour, 2-mile walking tour through downtown Tucson, AZ. There will be places along the route to sit and listen to some of the stories, but this route is for those who can handle moderate walks.

What’s Included

Tours include sanitized listening devices so those on the tour can easily hear the guide while on the tour. They are also compatible with hearing aids. We will also have parasols/umbrellas for you to use on the hotter Arizona days, and water available for purchase at the start of the tour.

Pricing & Availability

The cost of the walking tour is $35 per person, and the tour groups are no more than 12 people per tour. During the busy season, there are more tour times available throughout the week than during the off-season.

What to Bring

Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water. This is Arizona, and even on cooler days, the heat can sneak up on you. A hat and/or sunscreen is also recommended.

Location

The meeting location and additional information will be emailed to you 24 hours in advance of the tour. Parking will be available downtown, but it is not included in the cost of the tour. This tour will also start and stop at the same place.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the tour date to receive a 100% refund. If cancellation occurs less than 24 hours prior, a zero refund policy applies.
